DAY 1 CHIANG MAI
In the morning pick up from the hotel, airport or railway station in Chiang Mai. First visit Wat Prathat Doi Suthep mountain temple, the holy pilgrim
site of Chiang Mai and enjoy the views to the city. Continue your trip in the northern capital through the older part of the city and take a look at one or two of
the many ancient temples. In the afternoon take a side trip to the ancient city of Wiang Kum Kam. Finally you got the chance to see some of the well known local
handicraft centers in Bosang, such as the umbrella making and painting, lacquer ware, silverware etc. Overnight in Chiang Mai.
DAY 2 CHIANG MAI
Full day tour to Doi Inthanon National Park (Thailand's highest peak, 2565 m). Enjoy nice mountain sceneries from the two royal pagodas on the peak and
see picturesque waterfalls. Further visit at a Karen and Hmong hill tribe village. On the mountain top take a short walk to some dense forest. On route back to Chiang
Mai you got the opportunity for a side trip to the woodcarving village of Ban Tawai and/or Doi Kham hill temple. You will be back in the northern capital by late
afternoon. Overnight in Chiang Mai.
DAY 3 CHIANG MAI
After breakfast drive for approx. one hour to an elephant camp north of the city to observe elephants taking their daily bath. Then enjoy a one hour
elephant safari through the wilderness. After lunch break enjoy a lazy trip down the river on a bamboo raft. Afterwards drive back to Chiang Mai, which does incl. a
brief stop at an orchid farm. Finally transfer to your booked hotel, airport or railway station...depend on your further itinerary.
