DAY 1 LUANG PRABANG
Arrival in Luang Prabang. You are welcomed by our Laotian partner agency. Transfer to the hotel. Time at leisure. Opportunity to explore the former
town on the banks of the Mekong River. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
DAY 2 LUANG PRABANG
After breakfast enjoy a scenic boat trip upriver on the Mekong to Pak Ou at the junction of the Ou River. Have a look to the holy Thum Ting caves with
it's many Buddha images. Then continue on the road to the picturesque Kuangsi waterfall. On route take a brief stop at a Hmong hill tribe village. Return and tour the
town (an UNESCO world heritage site). Visit the former King's Palace (today's National Museum). Go on to see some of the many ancient temples. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
DAY 3 LUANG PRABANG - VANGVIENG
In the morning start for a tour through some impressive mountain wilderness to Vangvieng. On route you will see many remote villages (most of them are Hmong
hill tribe villages) and also stop at some of them. In the afternoon arrive in Vangvieng, the small town on the banks of the Song River with its many picturesque limestone
cliffs to the west. Overnight in Vangvieng.
DAY 4 VANGVIENG - VIENTIANE
Enjoy the nice surroundings and observe the daily life along the river. Time to take a short stroll in the small village incl. a visit to the local market.
Later drive to Vientiane. After lunch take a sightseeing tour in the Laotian capital, which includes all major sights, such as the That Luang Stupa, Pratu Xai and Wat Si
Saket. Finally take a stroll over the central market, where you might find your souvenir from Laos. Overnight in Vientiane.
DAY 5 VIENTIANE
Transfer to the airport or the Lao/Thai border (Friendship Bridge near Nong Khai)...but also transfer all the way to Udon Thani (Thailand) is possible, depends on your further schedule.

REMARKS/FLEXIBILITY:
Visa for Laos available on arrival in Luang Prabang against a fee of US$ 30.- (You should bring a passport photo with you).
This tour can also be done
vice versa with start in Vientiane and finish in Luang Prabang.
On day 3 instead driving to Vangvieng it is also possible to do a full day tour to the Plain of Jars incl.
overnight in Xiengkhouang and then the next day take a flight from there to Vientiane.
The 2 days/1 night Mekong River cruise from Houay Xai to Luang Prabang can be
combined with this program as well.
Additional nights in Luang Prabang and/or Vientiane can be booked with us.
