DAY 1 HANOI On arrival you are welcomed by the representative of our local partner agency. Then transfer to the hotel in the city center. Time to relax or just take a stroll in the capital.
DAY 2 HANOI After breakfast start the tour in Hanoi, a city with many trees and lakes, once also called "Paris of the east". First enjoy a short cyclo trip to discover the old part of the city. Then visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the symbol of the country. Here you will also see at the Presidental Palace and Garden. Go on to visit the temple of literature (the center of culture in Hanoi). Further stops will be done at the Ethnology Museum (54 ethnic people living in Vietnam) and finally at the famous water puppet show, the unique art from Vietnamese people in the Red River Delta.
DAY 3 HANOI - HALONG After breakfast drive for approx. 3 hours through the Red River Delta to Halong. Embark the Junk and start sail in the bay with it's 1969 limestone islets. Stop at one of them and take a short trek to the summit for great panoramic view over Halong Bay. Another stop will follow at a fishing village. During sunset kayak or take a bamboo row boat to discover a water tunnel with many coral reefs. Dinner and overnight on the junk.
DAY 4 HALONG - HANOI In the morning visit a beautiful limestone grotto and then cruise back to the dock. Drive back to Hanoi. On route see Tho Ha, the famous village of terracotta products. Discover the village with old houses constructed from broken parts of terracotta. Finally arrive Hanoi, where some time is left for shopping or just relax at your hotel.
DAY 5 HANOI Time at leisure until transfer to the airport and continue your journey...or extend your stay in Hanoi, depend on your further schedule.

REMARKS/FLEXIBILITY:
You must get your visa for Vietnam in advance! Please contact your nearest Vietnam embassy for it. Visa for Vietnam can also be issued here in Thailand, but it takes a couple of days to get it. So it works only if you have a stopover in Bangkok or Chiang Mai before your trip to Vietnam.
Depending on your arrival- and departure flight in Hanoi, this package can also be done with one night less.
